Honest answer: this is a side gig and I'm only after a couple more clients at any given time. If I'm at capacity when your mate gets in touch, I'll be upfront with them. They might wait a few weeks or get pointed at someone good. Either way, if they end up signing on with me later, the credit still triggers for you.

If your mate signs up while I'm still offering founding-client rates (currently $500 for website builds, normally $1,500 to $2,000), they get the same rate locked in. Send them my way sooner rather than later if cost is a concern.
